You don't want to invest in a costume you're only going to wear for one evening, and we understand. We've created the Cloz app with a view to enhancing the value and wearability of existing wardrobe items. That's why we're sharing our Halloween tips below.

Halloween Costume 1: The Pirate

This year, for Halloween, opt for the pirate costume! If you already have a white shirt and tall boots in your wardrobe, you'll be able to reproduce this costume with ease.

To achieve the perfect look and make your suit instantly recognizable, here's the list of pieces you need to assemble:

  • a large white shirt
  • a colorful scarf to tie in your hair
  • a white dress, to be worn under the shirt, or a white skirt
  • a large belt or a corset to mark the waistline
  • high boots
  • full of golden jewels

For make-up, you can opt for smoky eyes with a smokey eye. Add fake scars for a spookier make-up look! Finally, for your hairstyle, wave your hair and braid several small strands for a bohemian pirate style.

Halloween costume 2: the vampire

Do you have a beautiful black maxi dress in your closet and are looking for a new occasion to wear it? Then choose to dress up as a vampire for Halloween this year!

To create your easy vampire look, just put on :

  • a long black dress
  • a pair of black tights, lace if you have them,
  • black pumps,
  • dangling earrings

Make-up will make all the difference for this disguise. Go for a red mouth and smoky eyes.

Halloween Costume 3: Cruella from Hell

The faux fur jacket is THE trend of the season, as we presented in our article on the 10 trendy pieces for the Fall-Winter 2024 dressing room, which we invite you to read if you haven't already!

Here's a new opportunity to wear your jacket, if you've succumbed to the trend: dress up as Cruella for Halloween.

All you need to reproduce this disguise is the following clothing:

  • a long black dress, in a sexy, chic style,
  • a faux fur coat,
  • red pumps,
  • a small black handbag or pouch
  • pearl jewelry

Halloween costume 4: the mummy

The mummy is an easy-to-reproduce last-minute costume, ideal for Halloween. You'll need white clothing already in your closet, such as a strapless top with shorts or a skirt, or a dress.

Then wrap some bandage around your arms and legs to recreate the look of a mummy.

A little tip: give the bandage a "dirty" effect with brown or black make-up (eye shadow or bronzing powder will do the trick just fine).

For your hairstyle, you can opt for a coiffed/decombed effect by crimping your hair.

Halloween Costume 5: Catwoman

The perfect Halloween costume to wear with your leather jacket is Catwoman ! This costume will bring out your femme fatale side, and require little effort to reproduce.

To put together your Catwoman look, here's the list of pieces you need to get out of your wardrobe:

  • a black leather jacket, preferably fairly slim-fitting,
  • black pants in imitation leather or vinyl,
  • a tight black top,
  • high boots with black heels

The only accessory you'll potentially have to buy is the cat mask. If you're really in a hurry, and don't have time to go shopping, grab your make-up bag! Use your black pencil to draw cat whiskers.
